Natural Stone Regions of Turkey
Turkey’s stone sector is not one homogeneous source. Different regions are associated with different geology, quarrying traditions and processing clusters. Atlas uses this regional view to widen the sourcing search.

Classic, light, noce and silver travertine; strong tile and cut-to-size production.
Beige and grey marble families used in large architectural programs.
Beige marble and long-established stone processing traditions.
White marble, Milas Lilac and other distinctive Aegean materials.
Historic white marble with characteristic grey equator striping.
Elazığ Cherry / Vişne and other colored stone traditions.
Dark basalt, colored stones and selected limestone/onyx listings.
Granite and hard-stone supply for durable exterior applications.
Andesite traditions for paving, walling and public-space stonework.
Limra-type limestone and warm southern Turkish limestone palettes.
Ignimbrite and tuff used in regional walling and carved architecture.
Why the regional map matters
Turkey’s Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources identifies well-known international stones including Süpren, Elazığ Vişne, Akşehir Siyah, Manyas Beyaz, Bilecik Bej, Denizli Travertine, Ege Bordo, Milas Leylak, Gemlik Diabase and Afyon Şeker. TÜMMER’s current natural-stone directory separately catalogs marble, travertine, limestone, onyx, granite, basalt/andesite/diabase and decorative products. Commercial names can overlap or change, so Atlas treats the quarry/source and approved range—not the marketing name alone—as the critical project reference.
Specification note: a geographic or trade name is not a substitute for the actual quarry lot, physical sample, technical test report and production approval used on a project.
Questions buyers often ask
What information should I include when asking about a sourcing region?
Send the stone name or preferred color, required format and thickness, approximate quantity, finish, destination and timing. Drawings, schedules and reference samples are especially useful for cut-to-size projects.
Does Atlas own a quarry?
Atlas Global Trading Inc. operates as an independent sourcing and trading company. We coordinate supply with established quarry owners and processing factories in Turkey rather than limiting projects to a single quarry.
Can Atlas combine multiple Turkish stones in one project?
Yes. Multi-material schedules can be coordinated across compatible partner factories, with attention to samples, production timing, packing and shipment planning.
Can buyers request current slab or block photos?
Yes, subject to supplier availability. For natural stone, current-lot photos and representative samples are an important part of confirming color, vein movement and acceptable range before production.
