Natural Stone Applications

Choose a stone family and finish by what the surface needs to do—not only by color. These application guides connect design intent with selection, finish, fabrication and maintenance questions.

Design decision path

Five checks before selecting the surface

Environment

Interior or exterior, dry or wet, climate, UV, salts, freeze-thaw exposure and cleaning regime.

Loads and traffic

Foot traffic, carts, vehicle loading, abrasion risk, edge impact and replacement access.

Finish

Visual target balanced with slip resistance, cleanability, reflectivity and expected weathering.

Format and fixing

Tile or slab size, thickness, substrate, anchoring, movement joints, kerf or mechanical fixing details.

Approval range

Reference samples, acceptable color/vein movement, repair policy, mock-ups and project-specific testing.

Frequently asked

Questions buyers often ask

What information should I include in an applications inquiry?

Send the stone name or preferred color, required format and thickness, approximate quantity, finish, destination and timing. Drawings, schedules and reference samples are especially useful for cut-to-size projects.

Does Atlas own a quarry?

Atlas Global Trading Inc. operates as an independent sourcing and trading company. We coordinate supply with established quarry owners and processing factories in Turkey rather than limiting projects to a single quarry.

Can Atlas combine multiple Turkish stones in one project?

Yes. Multi-material schedules can be coordinated across compatible partner factories, with attention to samples, production timing, packing and shipment planning.

Can buyers request current slab or block photos?

Yes, subject to supplier availability. For natural stone, current-lot photos and representative samples are an important part of confirming color, vein movement and acceptable range before production.
