Quality control for Gemlik Diabase starts before production. A useful specification converts subjective language into observable controls: approved range, finish reference, dimensions, tolerances, repairs, labeling and required test evidence.
Build a control set
Use a physical sample, sample board, approved slab photos or mock-up that reflects the accepted range. Note whether the control defines only color or also vein density, pore structure, filling and surface finish.
Inspection checkpoints
- Raw material / block or slab availability check.
- First finished pieces or factory mock-up.
- In-process dimensional and finish checks.
- Final quantity, visual-range and labeling review.
- Packing condition and loading record.
Technical documents
Where the application requires it, request current material-specific data for properties such as absorption, density, flexural strength, abrasion, frost resistance or slip performance. The relevant tests vary by product and jurisdiction.
Nonconformity rules
Agree what happens if pieces fall outside the accepted range or dimension tolerance: segregation, recutting, replacement or client review. Clear rules are easier to apply before crates are closed.
